Online Lesson Help Guide
Here you’ll find handy quick guides to set up your online lesson for the first time and what to do if you’re experiencing issues. We’ve partnered with Lessonspace and use this platform as a default for all our online lessons.
You do not need to download anything from Lessonspace, it is all accessible through your browser. We do recommend all students to open a test room and ensure everything is working so that there are no delays to the trial lesson. You can access a test room by using the button below
Requirements for lessonspace
Please ensure that you are using one of the recommended and available browsers for Lessonspace.
Computer (Windows or Linux or MacOS:)
- Chrome / Edge Chrome 78+
- Firefox 72+
- Safari 12+
Mobile Phone (Not Recommended):
- Android: Chrome 78+
- iOS: Safari 12+
We also recommend that your internet speed should be sufficient for the lesson. The minimum internet speed for Lessonspace is at least 5Mb/s download and at least 3Mb/s upload.
Joining the Lesson
There are two main ways to join lessons, through your email and by logging in.
24 hours before every lesson you will receive a Lesson Reminder Email. This email will include a link to join your online lesson in the form of a button. Please click on this button to access your lesson.
If you cannot find this email, please check your spam and junk folders. Alternatively, you can use the second method to access your lesson.
All our students and parents have an account and is registered to the email that you used to first sign up with us. You can login to our platform by visiting the link https://eruditetuition.com.au/login. You will then be taken to this screen below.
Simply use this page to login to your account. If you do not remember your password, you can press the “Reset Password” link to begin the process to reset your password. Please ensure that the email is correct or this will not allow you to sign in.
Once you’ve signed in, you’ll be taken to your dashboard where you can access the lesson screen by pressing the highlighted name of the lesson.
Alternatively, you can access the lesson page by using the menu on the left hand side of the screen and selecting the Calendar.
Locate the lesson required, press it and press the “More Details” button that pops up like so.
You’ll then be taken to the lesson Detail page. To access your online lessons and any files, press the large blue button which will always begin with “Join your lesson now”.
Audio or Video Not Working
Ensure you’ve given permission to your browsers to allow for audio and video. When joining, you’ll see a pop-up that asks you to allow access. Press allow.
If you’ve accidentally blocked the camera/microphone access, you’ll see a little red cross through your camera in the URL bar at the top. Click that and you’ll be asked to allow access. Select “Always Allow” and reload your page. If you have multiple cameras or microphones, please select the suitable ones.
Press the cog on the right hand side of the page to check if everything is working correctly. You’ll notice a red “!” mark if something is not working properly as intended.
Follow the troubleshooting guide:
Once the troubleshooting says “Everything looks good” then you are good to go.
Please make sure to close Zoom, Skype or any other application that requires access to video/microphone. If not done properly, this may restrict Lessonspace’s ability to access your camera/microphone as they are already in use.
If your video is freezing but your audio is fine this is because Lessonspace will prioritize your audio over your video because your internet connection is poor.
If you notice a drawing lag while using a writing tablet, this is most likely due to a compatibility issue with the browser and writing tablet. Lessonspace has been tested with most of the major writing tablet brands but may experience some issues with a small number of models.
