Shakthi V.

I graduated from the Elizabeth Blackburn School of Sciences and I am currently undertaking a Bachelor of Biomedical Science at Monash University. I'm deeply enthusiastic about studying and teaching, and have stepped into the role of a teacher more times than I can count. For me, there's nothing more fulfilling than seeing the metaphorical lightbulb turn on above a student's head, and I'm motivated by my desire to teach material beyond the scope of the curriculum and fuel my students' passion for learning. My strongest subjects are Biology, Chemistry, and Physics. As a Science tutor, I always go beyond simply reading the textbook and I highly encourage questions and curiosity, helping students discover just how much there is to learn. I strive to make the learning experience both engaging and enjoyable.

Some of my hobbies include reading, photography, and playing tennis. Cooking is something I picked up during the pandemic and still enjoy greatly and I've recently been enamoured with writing - poetry, short stories, and the like. When I'm not doing anything productive, I'm usually playing video games, watching Netflix's flavour of the week shows, or just vibing to some good music.
