Hi! My name is Izzy! I am a passionate educator offering young learners a safe and friendly learning environment, as I aim to encourage, support, and challenge them as they progress on their academic journey 😁 **Teaching and Tutoring Background** - I have been working for the Department of Education (WA) for over 5 years as an Education Assistant (Belmont City College, Bob Hawke College) and an OOSH tutor for students in the Follow the Dream program. During this time I also became a certified MacqLit teacher, teaching literacy intervention programs to students within the Australian senior school system. Additionally, I have worked as a Support Worker for a number of school-aged clients, specialising in social support, community access, and improved school attendance. - I have completed a Bachelor of Creative Industries in Film Production and Photomedia (ECU, 2011), as well as a Bachelor of Arts in Anthropology and Sociology (2024). I am TESOL-certified, and currently teaching English part time to adult learners based in China, while I myself am spending a semester learning Egyptian Arabic in Cairo, Egypt. **The Classroom** 👩‍🏫 📍My classes are friendly and professional, and I aim to tailor our lessons to your interests and academic goals. 📍Sessions are engaging and interactive, I genuinely like to know my students and establish a sense of what your education needs are. 📍For students from CALD backgrounds, I offer practical strategies to help you speak confidently and encourage practicing phonetics (understanding how certain sounds are produced) to enhance pronunciation and fluency.
