Introduction
A little bit about myself.
My name is Shayla and I'm a first-year Bachelor of Commerce student at the University of Melbourne. Having graduated from one of Victoria's top high schools, I've garnered valuable study habits and a strong understanding of what it takes to achieve your goals. In my lessons, I aim to create a supportive learning environment so my students feel safe and comfortable, encouraging them to engage and ask questions. With a friendly approach, I focus on motivating students and developing a positive mindset towards learning. As a student myself, I understand the difficulties and frustration of struggling, so I hope to be someone my students can rely on to help them grasp new concepts and succeed.
Hobbies
A bit more about me and what I do in my spare time!
A hobby of mine is playing guitar, which I've been doing since primary school. I also like to be physically active by going to the gym and playing softball with my club. In my spare time, I love to volunteer at my university, supporting students having difficulty accessing food and groceries - an experience I find really rewarding.
