Introduction
A little bit about myself.
Hello! I'm Amanda, a Bachelor of Arts student at the University of Melbourne, majoring in Politics and International Studies. I strive to tailor my lessons and teaching style to each unique student, and set them up for future success in English. Some students need assistance with establishing or improving foundational writing or reading comprehension skills. Other students want to learn how to fine-tune their essays and English skills, and minimise their errors to really aim for that perfect mark. I strive to identify the best learning methods for each of my students, and craft highly personalised lesson plans to ensure they achieve their goals. I also focus on helping my students to establish study habits that will aid in long-term academic success. Studying might not be their favourite activity, but I've helped many of my students to discover that it can be a very enjoyable one!
Hobbies
A bit more about me and what I do in my spare time!
My favourite hobbies are reading, writing, debating and volunteering. In high school, I was selected to be part of the Victorian State Team, which represents Victoria in the Australian National Schools Debating Championships. Currently, I serve as Treasurer for the Melbourne University Debating Society, and also as Secretary for the Youth Charity Society, the University's largest student-run volunteering organisation. I have represented the University at multiple national and international debating championships as both a debater and judge, reaching the finals of several competitions.
