About

This policy outlines what happens in the event of a cancellation.

At Erudite Tuition, there are no set contracts, prepayments, or hidden fees, and you’re not locked into any number of lessons per term or month.

However, please understand that last-minute cancellations do cause unnecessary stress and wasted time for tutors who have spent time preparing for the lesson.

We understand that there are some situations where cancellation is unavoidable. We’re happy to cancel in these situations, with no penalties applied.

Situations

  1. If you cannot attend a session, let us know 24 hours in advance.
  2. If notice is given within 12 hours of the scheduled time, we reserve the right to charge.
  3. For in-person lessons, if a tutor comes to your house and the lesson cannot commence, the full lesson fee will be waived.

To make sure you have enough time to let us know in advance, we send reminder emails and SMS messages to your mobile to keep you informed.

If you are going away for an extended period of time, please let both us, by emailing support@eruditetuition.com.au, and your tutor know at least 2 weeks in advance. 2 weeks will allow us to organise a replacement student to fill the void for your tutor in your absence. Likewise, if your tutor is going away for more than 2 weeks, they will let us know and we will organise a replacement tutor for your child.

If you no longer require tuition from your tutor, please let us know, by emailing support@eruditetuition.com.au, 2 weeks ahead of your proposed final session. We can advise your tutor on your behalf.

These requests exist to ensure your tutor is looked after and sessions aren’t regularly cancelled at the last minute. For your tutor, the session begins way before they arrive at your door; they will spend time before the session preparing and planning to maximise the value they can bring to your child. By providing adequate notice of changes and cancellations, they will feel valued and appreciated.

If you have any questions, please get in touch.
