What the rate covers

No enrolment charge, no platform surcharge, no surprise tutoring fees.

Tutoring cost is easier to judge when the full lesson setup is visible. The hourly rate covers the practical work around the lesson, not only the time the tutor spends teaching.

Tutor match

Matched for subject, schedule, and personality

We look beyond availability so the tutor can connect with your child and teach the right content.

Prepared lessons

Planning and resources are part of the rate

Tutors arrive with a lesson focus and can draw on targeted resources instead of asking families to organise everything.

Parent clarity

Straightforward communication around progress

Families can see what is improving, what needs attention, and when the tutoring plan should adjust.

Billing and flexibility

Only pay for tutoring lessons that go ahead.

When lessons are charged

You are charged for completed lessons and for short-notice cancellations covered by the cancellation policy.

When you can stop

There is no term contract. Families can pause or finish tutoring when the support is no longer needed.

When the match is not right

The first lesson guarantee lets families begin with less risk and adjust if the tutor fit needs work.

Common pricing questions

Practical answers before you book.

These answers cover lesson setup, tutor matching, flexible tutoring terms, and what happens if the first match is not right for your child.

How does tutoring work?

For in-home tutoring, we work with you to organise a suitable time for the first lesson.

Your assigned tutor visits your home with the materials needed to begin. You receive a reminder email 24 hours before each lesson.

For online tutoring, the reminder email includes the lesson link. Click the link when your child is ready to start.

Will I know who my tutor is before the lesson?

During the tutor matching process, we give you a summary of your tutor, their experience, their qualifications, and the time of the trial lesson.

Your tutor then gives you a welcome call before the lesson to introduce themselves and answer practical questions.

How do I know if I have a good tutor?

Our tutors include registered teachers, high academic achievers, and university researchers located in Sydney and Melbourne. Where ATAR is relevant, tutors have achieved at least a 96+ ATAR, so they understand syllabus demands and academic expectations.

Potential tutors must complete a careful selection process before joining Erudite Tuition. We then provide the resources, training, and context they need to teach well.

How will I know if the tutoring is effective?

Students learn in different ways, so tutoring is shaped around your child's needs and goals.

We can use regular testing to monitor improvement. Tutors can submit weekly feedback and more detailed monthly reports so parents can understand what is happening between assessments.

You can also let your tutor know if you would like your child to be tested, and we can help arrange it.

I do not have worksheets or textbooks. Is that okay?

That is fine. We provide tutors with required worksheets and materials before the first lesson so they can focus on teaching your child.

Tutors tailor each lesson around your child's needs and design a program that can adapt as those needs change.

How are online lessons conducted?

Once a lesson is arranged, you will receive an email 24 hours before the lesson with the link. There is no need to download anything; the online classroom loads in your browser.

Every lesson is recorded so students can review material later and return to explanations when they need them.

Can I try a few sessions?

The first lesson is the trial lesson with a tutor. If the match is not right, you can try another tutor without paying for the unsuitable first match.

A reasonable part of the first lesson is about the tutor getting to know your child and understanding where support is needed.

You are never locked into a long-term contract at Erudite Tuition. You can stop or cancel at any time and only pay for lessons that are attended or cancelled under the cancellation policy.

Will I get the same tutor every week?

Yes, students work with the same Erudite tutor every week.

We find that replacement tutors do not work as well because consistency matters. If a lesson needs to move, we will work to reschedule so your child can keep learning with the same tutor.

How are my lessons personalised?

During the matching process, we call to understand your child's needs, goals, and current school situation. Every student is different, so each lesson should be shaped around the student rather than a generic program.

We work with you to identify weaker areas and develop a learning plan for the tutor. The tutor is then briefed and asked to prepare with those requirements in mind.

Why pick Erudite Tuition?

Erudite refers to someone who has become academically accomplished through hard work.

That is the standard we care about. We want private tutoring to be a strong learning and teaching experience where students build habits beyond the classroom, not only memorise answers.

Do I even need a tutor?

Tutoring is not only for students who are struggling. Many high-performing students use a mentor to stay challenged, organised, and confident.

For us, tutoring is more than explaining content. It is about giving your child steady academic guidance while making learning feel more manageable.

A student has more to gain when the support is matched to their needs.

Are there any hidden fees?

There are no hidden fees. GST, credit card fees, and transport costs are included in the final price.

The prices shown are starting rates for each lesson format. Some subject and year-level needs may start at a different hourly rate, and we will confirm that clearly before lessons begin.
