Maths Tutoring

Maths tutoring helps primary and high school students rebuild confidence, close gaps, and practise the problem-solving skills they need for current schoolwork. Erudite matches your child with a tutor who can explain the topic in a way that suits their level, whether the focus is number facts, fractions, algebra, geometry, worded problems, or assessment preparation. Lessons can be online or in-home where available, with a trial lesson first to check tutor fit.

Flexible lesson focus

Maths tutoring that starts with your child's current level

Maths difficulty is rarely just one topic. A student may be missing an earlier step, rushing the working, avoiding worded questions, or losing confidence before they start. Tutoring helps identify the real gap and practise it in a manageable way.

Support from early numeracy to high school Maths

Lessons can cover number, fractions, decimals, percentages, algebra, geometry, measurement, data, problem-solving, homework, test preparation, or extension work for capable students.

A clearer next step after each lesson

Parents receive updates on what was covered, what improved, and what the tutor recommends next, so support at home does not have to become guesswork.

Online tutoring

Hi, I'm Abel, a first-year Electrical Engineering student at UNSW and a mathematics tutor with a story I think a lot of parents and students will relate to. I attended a selective school, and in Year 10, I ranked 109 out of 120 in my cohort. Based on that, I was told by my math teacher that Mathematics Advanced was the highest level I should take and that Extension 1 simply wasn't realistic, but I decided to enrol in Extension 1 anyway. With consistent effort and guidance from my own tutor, I went on to achieve strong results in the HSC, earning 95/100 in Mathematics Advanced and 46/50 in Mathematics Extension 1. This experience taught me that struggling with mathematics is rarely about ability. Instead, it's about not having the right support and strategy. Having experienced both the frustration of being underestimated and the satisfaction of overcoming those expectations, I know what it takes for students to build confidence, improve their results, and realise their potential. That belief shapes my approach to tutoring, as I focus on building strong foundations, improving problem-solving skills, and helping students develop confidence in their mathematical ability.

Online and in-person tutoring

## Mathematics and Information Technology Tutor Hi there! Whilst I’m new to professional tutoring, I bring extensive experience mentoring and training staff through leadership roles in hospitality management. Alongside my professional experience, I am currently pursuing a degree in Computing Science, which has further strengthened my **core skills** in communication, patience, adaptability, and problem-solving skills. As someone with experience working with ADHD, I understand that every student learns differently and that traditional teaching approaches do not always work for everyone. This perspective has helped shape my **core philosophy** which centers around creating positive, engaging and supportive learning environments tailored to each individuals needs through ongoing conversations and critical feedback. My **goal** as a tutor is not only to help students achieve their academic goals, but also to develop strong foundational understanding and problem-solving skills that encourage long-term confidence and independent learning. If you have any questions please feel free to reach out. I look forward to hearing from you! Kindly, Adrian

If you need a tutor for your kids, Erudite Tuition is great! I've used them for almost 2years as i felt due to covid my kids education went down hill:-( I love that are able to come to my house and tutor both of my kids @ the same time(yr 3 & yr 5 students) my kids love their tutor Deveka and the company itself is really good. I've never had an issue with either one. I've recommended this company to friends and family and will continue to do so. Great work guys. Thanks heaps😁

Jared was fantastic. Patient, dedicated, engaging. We really felt that he was as invested in our daughter doing well on her OC test as we are. She loved him. We couldn't recommend him more highly. Thank you.
