Erudite’s year 4 English program is designed to support students as they further their understanding of complex language features, vocabulary, and diverse sentence structures. Our program increases the focus on reading fluency compared to the prior year’s program and develops the ability of students to recognise high-frequency sight words in parallel with the ability to decode unfamiliar words phonetically. Writing remains a major focus as students evolve their control of language.
