Introduction
A little bit about myself.
I have many years of experience in business and over ten years in education. After completing school at Wenona, North Sydney, I won a scholarship to study in Germany for a year and received the prestigious Gold Duke of Edinburgh Award at Buckingham Palace. Returning to Australia, I completed further study and worked in stockbroking before having children and becoming a teacher. All people, young and old, gain knowledge in diverse ways. Some individuals prefer visual aids, finding that seeing information—through diagrams, videos, or images—helps them understand and retain concepts more effectively. Others lean towards auditory learning, benefiting from discussions, lectures, and listening to explanations that enhance their comprehension through sound. Additionally, many learners thrive through kinesthetic methods, where engaging in hands-on activities, writing, or performing physical tasks allows them to grasp new ideas by actively participating in the learning process. A good teacher uses all three techniques to communicate with students.
