Haakon B.

I have been a part-time university tutor for three years for the University of Melbourne taking private classes to help Bachelor of Arts students. My focus disciplines are English and Theatre Studies, Philosophy, Screen and Culture Studies, and Ancient World Studies. I have a lot of experience in teaching, supervising and coaching. In addition, I was awarded as a Distinguished Achiever in the NSW HSC Honour Roll in 2015 for Mathematics General 2. I have also worked as a journalist and video producer for the past five years making content for social media and news websites. I also write for print, web and voice, do podcasting, produce plays as a theatre stage manager, engage in filming and editing commercial and business content as well as managing commercial social media.

My passion spans across literature, film, and sport. I've always been sporty since I was very young and was a member of the Wallabies Junior Gold Squad for Rugby Union when I was 15. Around this time, my love of film was also ignited particularly by engaging in the works that redefined Hollywood with a renewed emphasis on the role of the director and it wasn't until I was 18 that I fell in love with reading.
