Hello! My name is Kat, and I’m a qualified classroom teacher with experience supporting students across a range of year levels, including Year 1. I currently teach full-time in a primary school and am passionate about helping students develop confidence, curiosity, and a love for learning. My approach is warm, patient, and structured, drawing on evidence-based practices to help students feel safe while being challenged to grow. I have experience using the Jocelyn Seamer literacy program and following the NSW syllabus, ensuring that your child’s tutoring aligns with what they are learning at school while addressing their individual needs. I strongly believe that learning should be practical and engaging. I encourage students to think critically, use their creativity, and develop skills they can apply independently in the classroom and beyond. I am neuro-affirming in my practice and understand that every child learns differently; I adapt my tutoring to suit your child’s strengths, interests, and areas for growth, whether they need support in literacy, numeracy, or building learning confidence. Outside of teaching, I love reading, walking in nature, exploring new places, and listening to music. I am also passionate about fitness and the importance of building healthy habits to support focus and wellbeing in learning.
